Between January 30 - February 4, 2010, we completed four rotations of supplies and medical personnel in and out of Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

While this was just a proverbial drop in the ocean of ongoing need in Haiti, we were pleased to address an urgent need and demonstrate that our concept worked.

We moved approximately $2 million worth of medical equipment from Project C.U.R.E. into Haiti, and delivered it directly to hospitals run by Partners in Health.

We transported 48 doctors, nurses, and medical support staff into Haiti from Partners in Health, Project Medishare, and Airline Ambassadors.

On our return flights to Opa-Locka, Florida, we brought home almost 90 medical personnel and relief volunteers who had been working in Haiti since the earthquake.

Thanks to all involved . . .

The response to our initial idea from our friends in the entertainment industry was inspiring.  None of our efforts would have been possible without the tremendous support of our partners.  In addition to the numerous companies and individuals who made financial contributions to pay for fuel costs, we are especially grateful to our friends and vendors who donated their time, equipment, and services.

While the list of those who contributed financially or provided in-kind donations of equipment or logistical support is too long to publish, we would like to briefly acknowledge a few of our partners who worked tirelessly to make this project happen:

Trucking of medical supplies within the United States was provided by Upstaging and Shomotion Trucking.

The plane and air freight assistance were provided by Principal Air Services and Rock-It Cargo, which also donated fuel for the first rotation.  Fuel for the second and third rotations was paid for by John Campion, founder and CEO of APR Energy, and numerous other donors contributed toward the expenses for the fourth rotation.

APR Energy employee Steve Johnson served as our military liaison, coordinating flight clearances with SOUTHCOM and facilitating our trucks' access to the tarmac in Port-au-Prince.

David Turnier, also with APR Energy, arranged for trucking and security on the ground in Haiti, guaranteeing delivery to the hospital and preserving our uninterrupted supply chain.

AAA Communications and Road Radios both donated radios to alleviate a critical communication gap between ORs and other hospital departments due to the lack of surviving communication infrastructure.  These radios were a permanent gift that will continue to be used by the recipient organizations even as Haiti rebuilds.

Some of our friends and colleagues already in Miami working on the Super Bowl - including Dan Parise, Simone Costanzo, Dave Meyers, Seth Goldstein, Scott Chase, Ken Graham, Carly Gordon, and Hans Polleman - provided logistical support for our ground operation in the United States.
