Meals to Pakistan
Just a Bunch of Roadies facilitated the movement of three containers of highly nutritious meals to Pakistan - over 120,000 pound of food.
Volunteers completed meal packing events in Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago. In one night alone, volunteers packed 60,000 meals to give nourishment to thousands of hungry children.
Worldwide Hunger Relief, Inc. is a Milwaukee, WI based non-profit organization made up of a small number of local people who want to alleviate child hunger.
Their business model centers around conducting food packs with local volunteers who pay to cover the cost of the ingredients in the meals they pack. Madison Relief Organization is a Madison, WI based non-profit that exists to promote the wellbeing of people and their communities through charitable donations, fundraising and volunteer assistance. To achieve this, they partner with volunteers and organizations to promote initiatives that support people and communities in need. Both organizations have 501(c)3 status.
Just a Bunch of Roadies handled the costs and details of the complicated transportation from Milwaukee, WI to Karachi, Pakistan. Just a Bunch of Roadies is the brainchild of Charlie Hernandez (QED Productions) and Lori Tierney (SOS | Satellite Office Services). After several successful trips in and out of Port-au-Prince, Haiti transporting planeloads of medical supplies and personnel, the Roadie Relief team facilitated the transportation of 527,000 meals in record time from Madison to Port-au-Prince, including navigating the challenging customs environment on the ground in Port-au-Prince. As they did in Haiti, the Just a Bunch of Roadies team will ensure the prompt and safe arrival of the meals to Pakistan.
